Overview

Kodey is built for writing, saving and sharing code. Please use it responsibly. This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service and exists to protect Kodey, its users, and the people who receive File Drops and Share Links.

Prohibited use

You must not use Kodey to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other rights of others.
  • Harass, threaten, defame or abuse any person.
  • Create, host or distribute malicious software — including knowingly distributing malware through File Drop or Share Links.
  • Host phishing content or deceptive pages designed to steal information.
  • Collect or distribute stolen credentials, keys or personal data.
  • Impersonate others in a deceptive or harmful way.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to Kodey, other users’ accounts, or third-party systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the availability or integrity of the service.
  • Probe, scan or exploit Kodey’s infrastructure without authorization.
  • Automate abusive behavior, spam or bulk misuse of the service or its sharing features.
  • Use public-sharing functionality to distribute illegal content.
  • Attempt to evade service limitations, plan restrictions or security controls.

Security research

We appreciate good-faith security research. If you believe you have found a vulnerability in Kodey, please report it through Kodey Support rather than exploiting it or disclosing it publicly first. Good-faith reporting of security issues, conducted without harming users or data, is not treated as a violation of this policy.

Resource abuse

Do not use Kodey in ways that place an unreasonable or abusive load on the service — including automated scraping, bulk creation of shares or drops intended to degrade the service, or other behavior that harms availability for other users. Normal heavy use of the editor is fine; abuse is not.

Public content

You are responsible for content you make accessible through Share Links and File Drop. Only share content you have the rights and permission to share, and remember that anyone with a link can access what it points to, according to your settings.

Enforcement

Where we reasonably determine that this policy has been violated, we may take action including removing content, revoking Share Links or File Drops, restricting features, or suspending or terminating accounts — as reasonably necessary to protect the service and its users. Where practical, we aim to act proportionately.

Reporting abuse

If you encounter content or behavior on Kodey that violates this policy — including a suspicious File Drop or Share Link — please report it through Kodey Support. Include the link or details so we can investigate.
